Will the MINISTER OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether any proposal pertaining to demolishing of various Government colonies including Aaram Bagh and construction of new buildings there, in place of construction of additional rooms in the ensuing five years is under construction; and
(b) if so, the details regarding Type-I & Type-II accommodations, colony-wise?

(a) Re-development of seven General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) colonies in Delhi, namely Mohammadpur, Nauroji Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Thyagraj Nagar, Kasturba Nagar and Srinivaspuri have been approved by the Government. Presently, there is no proposal for re-development of GPRA colony at Aaram Bagh, New Delhi.
(b) No Type-I quarter is proposed to be constructed in the above said seven colonies. The number of Type-II quarters proposed to be constructed in the said seven colonies are as under:
