(a)the State-wise total number of hospitals and dispensaries run by ESIC along with the number of beneficiaries including Rajasthan; and
(b)whether the facilities of some ESIC hospitals have been made available to the general public by charging nominal user charge and if so, the details thereof?

(a): The State-wise total number of hospitals and dispensaries including Rajasthan is placed at Annexure-I.
The State-wise total number of beneficiaries including Rajasthan is placed at Annexure-II.
(b): Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Corporation has approved to allow non-insured persons/general public to avail medical services through its underutilized hospitals at Alwar, (Rajasthan), Bihta, (Bihar), Gulbarga (Karnataka), Bareilly, Varanasi, Lucknow and Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh).
The ESIC Corporation has been taking nominal user charges from such beneficiaries, availing medical services from these hospitals.
Further, ESIC hospital at Gulbarga (Karnatka) is providing IPD services @ 5% of Central Government Health Services (CGHS) package rates, while ESIC hospital at Bihta (Bihar) and Alwar (Rajasthan) are providing medical services to non-IPs without charging any user fee.
