Question : CURRICULUM FOR HINDI TEACHING



(a) whether the Government has any plan to ask Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidya- laya (MGAHV), Wardha, Maharashtra to prepare standard curriculum for Hindi teaching;

(b) if so, the details of the software developed/ being developed for the use of Devnagari Script to promote Hindi in other countries;

(c) the number of Hindi scholars likely to be roped in for the same; and

(d) the details of the grants allocated/likely to be allocated to MGAHV by the Government?

(a): The Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwa- vidyalaya (MGAHV), Wardha, has informed that the 9th World Hindi Conference organized by Ministry of Ex- ternal Affairs at Johannesburg, South Africa resolved to entrust them with the job of preparing a standard syllabus for teaching of Hindi outside India. MGAHV using its own resources prepared curriculum for four levels and submitted it to Ministry of External Affairs.

(b): MGAHV has developed 10 Softwares for use in and promotion of Hindi language. The important among them are:-

 
(i) SAKSHAM – A Hindi Spell Checker (ii) ROOPVISHLESHAK – Hindi Morphological Form Analyzer (iii) ANTARAK – Devnagri Roman Transliteration System (iv) APP and SOFTWARE – Aaiye Hindi Sikhein


(c): MGAHV has informed that the University has not roped in any Hindi scholars so far in this regard. However, as and when the curriculum is implemented, Hindi scholars can be roped in as per the requirement.
