(a) whether the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas had recently visited the
Krishna-Godavari (KG) basin to familiarize himself with the oil and gas fields: and
(b) If so, whether the Minister was satisfied with the work done by Reliance
Industries Limited (RIL)?

(a) and (b): The Minister went to KG Basin to have a first hand feel of the various
activities including the corporate social responsibility activities of Oil and Natural
Gas Corporation (ONGC) / Oil India Limited (OIL) / Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) in
that region. The Minister has not gone for inspection or validation of the work being
done there.
