(a) the rural connectivity projects sanctioned in Maharashtra during the last five years including but not limited to works sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY);
(b) the rural connectivity projects completed by the Ministry in Maharashtra during the said period;
(c) whether rural connectivity projects sanctioned during the last five years in Maharashtra have not yet been completed; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor?

(c) Under PMGSY, out of total 117 roads and 61 bridges sanctioned in the last 5 years, 33 roads and 4 bridges have been completed as on 11.09.2020. Under RCPLWEA, out of total 46 roads and 108 bridges sanctioned during last five years, 2 roads and 4 bridges have been completed as on 11.09.2020
(d) The list of incomplete projects, sanctioned during the last five years, is given in Annexure. A total of 37 bridges, sanctioned under PMGSY, have not yet been awarded by the State. Under RCPLWEA, 36 roads and 75 bridges have not yet been awarded by the State. Also, 23 roads and 49 bridges are pending due to lack of forest clearance. Rest of projects are reported to be in progress. Reasons for delay in completion of these projects are delay in award of projects by the state, lack of forest clearance, lack of response by contractors and difficult working conditions for a number of projects, especially those falling in areas affected by left-wing extremism.
