(a) whether the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had submitted its recommendations on spectrum allocation and pricing in 2010 & 2011;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the salient features of the recommendations;
(c) whether the Government has accepted the recommendations;
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(e) the time by which the recommendations are likely to be accepted and implemented?

(a) & (b) Madam, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had submitted its recommendations dated 11.05.2010 on ‘Spectrum Management and Licensing
Framework’ and recommendations dated 08.02.2011 on ‘The Value of Spectrum in 1800 MHz Band’. Salient features of the recommendations relating to spectrum
assignment and pricing are given in Annexure.
(c) to (e) These recommendations of TRAI are presently under consideration of the Government. Being a matter of policy formulation, it is not feasible to
specify a time frame.
