Question : Special Programme to Prevent Anaemia

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government is planning to come out with a special programme to prevent Anaemia among children with the use of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy;

(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;

(c) whether his Ministry has evaluated the percentage of women in the country who are anaemic during the last three years, if so, the details thereof;

(d) the details of awareness programme conducted by his Ministry regarding alternative medicines; and

(e) the details of amount spent on awareness campaign during the last three years for various programmes across the country?

(a): No plan has been formulated so far to undertake special programme to prevent Anaemia among children with the use of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy
(b): Does not arise.
(c) No.
(d): In order to popularise the AYSUH systems amongst people within and outside the country, various Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities are being taken up with adequate dissemination of information through electronic, press and social media. 04 National level AROGYA Fairs were organized. On 21st of June, every year, International Yoga Day is organized at national and international level. On 17th of October, 2017 ‘Ayurveda Day’ was celebrated. In additional to this, various international and national conferences workshops, stakeholders meets and industry conclaves have been organized on regular basis.
(e): The details of amount spent on awareness campaign during the last three years for various programmes across the country is as under:-
