(a) The focus of Deendayal Antodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) is eradication of rural poverty through building institutions of the poor women and enabling them to access a range of financial, livelihoods and convergence services. The programme aims to bring at least one woman member from each rural poor household, as per the Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 data, into the fold of Self Help Groups (SHGs) formed under the programme by reaching out to 8-10 Crore poor households by the year 2023-24. As of January 2020, about 6.73 crore households have been mobilized into 60.82 lakh SHGs.
(b) The funds allocated and utilized under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) during the last three years and current year, State/UT-wise is provided in Annexure- I and Annexure-II respectively .
(c) Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) is a completely women centric scheme therefore, all the beneficiaries covered are women. The State/UT-wise details of beneficiaries including SCs and STs during the last three years and current year is provided in Annexure-III.
(d) & (e) Several steps have been taken for effective implementation of DAY-NRLM. These include submission of periodical reports by the State Rural Livelihoods Missions (SRLMs), review during the periodic meeting of the Performance Review Committee (PRC) of the Ministry, monitoring the timely submission of Utilization Certificates, submission of third party monitoring reports through National Level Monitors and Area Officers, monitoring through various MIS modules as well as bi-monthly financial management review of all States. Implementation Support Missions (ISMs) have been carried out in some States such as Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, wherein, technical experts from the National Mission Management Unit supervise the work of the SRLMs and support them to resolve outstanding issues and plan for future implementation of the programme in the States in consultation with the SRLMs.
