(a): The details of Non-Governmental Organization’s(NGOs) in West Bengal that have received
the financial assistance under Maulana Azad Education Foundation(MAEF) during each of last three
years and current year are given below:

(b): No fund is sanctioned by the Government through MAEF to various State/UTs. However, the
MAEF has sanctioned grant-in-aid of Rs. 40.24 crore to 305 NGOs in various State/UTs during the
last three years. The Year-wise/State-wise list is enclosed as Annexure-I.
(c): The MAEF has sanctioned scholarships of Rs. 72.22 crore to 60182 meritorious girl
students belonging to minorities during the last three years. The State-wise/UT-wise list is
enclosed as Annexure-II.
The MAEF has also sanctioned funds to 68 NGOs for constructions of hostel buildings during the
last three years. The State-wise list of 68 NGOs is enclosed as Annexure-III.
(d)&(e): No Madam.
(f): The MAEF allocates funds for scholarship on the basis of minorities’ population in
different States/UTs as per 2001 Census.
