(a) the production of Janata cloth in the country as on date;
(b) whether the Government are aware that the weaker sections of the society are not getting the Janata cloth primarily meant for them; and
(c) if so, the steps taken by the Government to ensure that the Janata cloth produced for the poor is actually made available to them?

(a) (b) & (c) Janata cloth was produced and distributed under a Central Sector Non-Plan Scheme. That scheme was discontinued after the year 1997 - 98. Therefore, there is no production of Janata cloth under any Central Sector or Centrally Sponsored Scheme at present.
