(a) whether the Government is aware that increase in level of pollution at various ports is causing severe threat to the flora and fauna in the nearby seas; and
(b) if so, the reaction of the Government thereto and the remedial measures taken/being taken by the Government?

(a)&(b):Major Ports maintain ambient air quality, sea water quality as per the norms and standards fixed by the Pollution Control Boards and also undertake green initiatives to maintain the flora and fauna in the operational areas of the Ports.
