Question : COMMON ENTRANCE EXAM FOR MEDICAL COLLEGES

(a) whether the Government proposes a common entrance examination for admission to medical colleges in the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the time by which it is likely to be implemented;

(c) whether the Government also proposes to revise the curriculum for the MBBS studies;and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) This Ministry has received a proposal from Medical Council of India for conducting single entrance exam for admissions in UG & PG medical courses in India.The proposal is under consideration of the Ministry.
