(b): Delhi Police has reported that the reasons for unsolved cases vary from case to case and some of the main reasons include the following:
1. Accused person is not identified.
2. Accused person is absconding and not traceable.
3. Stay on arrest of alleged accused by Court.
4. Sufficient evidence has not come on record against the alleged accused.
(c): The details of cases of crime against women registered by Delhi Police, cases solved and unsolved during last two years are as under :

(d): As regards recruitment in Delhi Police, it has been decided to recruit Constable (Executive) through Computer-based examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission on pan India basis. Whenever vacancies in Delhi Police are to be filled up through direct recruitment, the same are advertised in the leading newspapers and Employment News as well as displayed on the Delhi Police website www.delhipolicerecruitment.nic.in & www.delhipolice.nic.in to give wide publicity. intimated to Resident Commissioners of all States to give wide publicity in their respective States.
The syllabus of training is laid down in Standing Order. As per the needs, requirement and emerging funds in the fields of policing and directions of Hon’ble courts, the amendments are done in training curriculum for efficient functioning of Delhi Police.
Following steps taken in the field of training aim towards improvement of the functioning of Delhi Police:
i. Introducing E-learning for training to impart refresher training to policemen on emerging trends of crime and new areas of policing.
ii. Creation of in-house yoga training capabilities and making Yoga integral part of out-door training for trainees of all basic and promotional courses.
iii. Development of advanced commando training centre and long weapon firing range at District Alwar, Rajasthan.
iv. Establishment of Academy for Smart Policing to conduct short duration courses / workshops for Gazetted officers of Delhi Police.

(e): Measures taken by Delhi Police are likely to improve the overall professional functioning of Delhi Police to great extent. Use of technology and increased manpower will ease the work load on existing manpower thereby resulting in increased efficiency of police personnel in different aspects of day to day policing.
