Question : Flights under Bilateral Agreements

(a) whether Government proposes to initiate talks with multiple countries to increase the number of flights under bilateral agreements as demand for international travel picks up; and

(b) if so, the details thereof?

(a) and (b) Bilateral discussions on Air Services Agreements is an on-going process and any decision to increase the number of flights under bilateral arrangements are taken after considering the passenger demand, capacity of Indian carriers to mount additional capacity and feedback from airlines, airports and foreign countries etc. India has opened up scheduled international commercial passenger services after a long hiatus of about 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
