Question : TRADE BARRIERS



(a) whether the developed Nations have accused India of setting Trade barriers that is having their industrial interest;

(b) if so, the details thereof alongwith the reasons therefor; and

(c) details of the countries and products against which trade barriers have been established?

(a): India does not impose any trade barriers. Some countries raise issues about our domestic regulations affecting their exports to India, from time to time.

(b) & (c): There are domestic regulations and conditions which apply on imports into India and may sometimes be deemed by exporting countries to be adversely affecting their ability to export to India.
