(a) whether the Management of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSP) had invited tenders from NGOs institutions and various types of committees through advertisement to provide land on lease for a period of 33 years;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the some academic institutions who were provided land on lease received financial assistance from the management of BSP;

(d) if so, whether these institutions defaulted in paying back interest or the instalments; and

(e) if so, the steps being taken by the management to discontinue the lease?

(a) No, Sir.

(b) Does not arise.

(c)&(d): Yes, Sir. Out of 16 academic institutions who were provided land on lease and received financial assistance from Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), 6 institutions have defaulted in paying back instalments/interest.

(e) Repayment of loan is being vigorously pursued by BSL and the institutions have been cautioned that continuing default would warrant serious measures, including cancellation of lease.
