Question : HEALTH CARD TO THE DOCTORS AND STAFF MEMBERS OF AIIMS

(a) whether the doctors and staff members of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) are provided with health care to avail regular medical treatment in AIIMS only;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether there has been any proposal to extend the facility to all other hospitals empanelled with the Central Government Health Scheme;

(d) if so, the details thereof and the reaction of the Government thereto; and

(e) the steps taken by the Government to extend the medical facility to the doctors and staff members of AIIMS as allowed to Central Government staff?

(a) & (b): All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has its own Employees Health Scheme (EHS) for its Doctors, Staff members and pensioners. An EHS card is issued to employees as well as to pensioners for availing medical facilities for self and dependent family members from the Institute only.

(c) to (e) No such proposal has been received in this Ministry.
