(a) the details of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) along with the objectives thereof;
(b) the area of land targeted to be covered under irrigation under the said scheme during each of the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise;
(c) whether the Government has set any target to expand the irrigated land under the said scheme particularly in Bundelkhand, Uttar Pradesh; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) was launched during the year 2015-16, with an aim to enhance physical access of water on farm and expand cultivable area under assured irrigation, improve on-farm water use efficiency, introduce sustainable water conservation practices, etc. PMKSY has various components viz. Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (AIBP), PMKSY –Har Khet Ko Pani (HKKP) including Command Area Development and Water Management (CADWM), Surface-Minor Irrigation (SMI) and Repair, Renovation and Restoration (RRR) of Water Bodies [Implemented by MoWR, RD & GR], PMKSY - Per Drop More Crop (PDMC) [Implemented by Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare] and PMKSY - Watershed Development (WD) [Implemented by Department of Land Resources].


The details of targets as per the approved scheme and achievements under the various components of the PMKSY are as follows:

* During 2016-17, ninety-nine (99) on-going Major/Medium Irrigation (MMI) projects under PMKSY-AIBP having ultimate irrigation potential of 76.03 lakh hectares and balance estimated cost of Rs.77595 crore (Central Assistance (CA) component of Rs.31342 crore) have been prioritized in consultation with States for completion in phases up to December, 2019 along with their Command Area Development & Water Management (CADWM) works. Funding mechanism through NABARD has also been approved by the Government for both Central and State Share.

State-wise details of Irrigation Potential Created (IPC) is at Annexure.

Three prioritised projects of Madhya Pradesh under PMKSY-AIBP viz. Bariyarpur LBC, Singhpur and Sindh Ph-II benefit Bundelkhand region. CA of Rs.44.08 crore has been released for these projects during 2016-19. Further, Rs. 140.88 crore has been made available as State Share through NABARD under LTIF during the said period. Total Irrigation Potential of 2.16 lakh ha. has been created through these projects.

Further, one project from Uttar Pradesh under PMKSY-AIBP viz. Arjun Sahayak Pariyojana benefit Bundelkhand region.CA of Rs.100.74 crore has been released for this project during 2016-20 (so far). Further, Rs.680.20 crore has been made available as State Share through NABARD under LTIF during the said period. Total Irrigation Potential of 0.22 lakh ha. has been created through this project up to 31.03.2019.
