(b): Does not arise.

(c) to (d): The Prevention of Torture Bill, 2010 was passed by the Lok Sabha on 06.05.2010. When the Bill was referred to the Rajya Sabha for consideration, it was referred to the Select Committee of Rajya Sabha. The Select Committee submitted its Report and recommended for enactment of the legislation with certain additions and modifications in the Bill. The revised Bill, as reported by the Select Committee is under examination in the Ministry of Home Affairs in consultation with the concerned Stakeholders.
