(a) whether the Government have finalised the feasibility report on the repair, modification and modernisation of the Russian Carrier “Admiral Gorshkovâ€;
(b) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(c) the time by which all technical and financial aspects are likely to be considered to meet our requirements in this regard to strengthen the Navy?

(a) to (c): The Russian Side have submitted a Detailed
Project Document (DPD) which, inter-alia, covers various
aspects of repair/refit, modification, and modernization of
the Russian Aircraft Carrier “Admiral Gorshkovâ€. A
Committee has been constituted to examine the Detailed
Project Document and its report would form the basis for
taking an investment decision on the acquisition of Admiral
Gorshkov.
