Question : SHIFTING OF ANDHRA BANK HEAD QUARTERS

(a) whether the Government has any proposal to shift the Headquarters of Andhra Bank from Hyderabad to newly formed Andhra Pradesh State; and

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the reasons for not locating the Headquarters of any nationalized bank in the State of Andhra Pradesh?

(a)& (b): Andhra Bank has informed that the Bank has plans to open local headquarters at Vijayawada, nearer to the proposed Secretariat of Andhra Pradesh State.
