Question : INCORRECT REHEAT FUEL CONTROL UNITS

(a) whether incorrect Reheat Fuel Control Units in two Aero Engines of Jaguar Aircraft resulted in their damage and Rs. 1.88 crore was incurred in repairs;

(b) if so, whether the operating wing of the IAF has been held responsible for this lapse; and

(c) if so, the action taken to prevent recurrence of such acts that endanger lives of Pilots and enormous losses to the nation?

(b)Yes, Sir. Disciplinary action has already been taken against the IAF officers found responsible.

(c)Suitable instructions have been issued by Air HQ to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
