Question : Work Completed under MGNREGS

(a) the details of the work completed under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), assembly and panchayat-wise;

(b) the list of the works completed along with the amount paid for the completed works;

(c) whether construction of cemeteries, churches etc. have taken place at Nagar Panchayat and Panchayat level in the district;

(d) if so, the details thereof, location-wise;

(e) whether facilities of light, drinking water, shade, boundary wall, access road and cleanliness is available here or not; and

(f) if so, the details thereof, assembly-wise?

(a) Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (Mahatma Gandhi NREGS) is a demand driven wage employment programme. The core objective of the Scheme is to provide not less than 100 days of unskilled manual work as a guaranteed employment in a financial year to every household in rural areas as per demand, resulting in creation of productive assets of prescribed quality and durability.

Mahatma Gandhi NREGS is implementing in 2.69 lakh Gram Panchayats (GPs) of the country. The GP-wise details of works completed and expenditure incurred under Mahatma Gandhi NREGS is available on www.nrega.nic.in.

(b) State/UT-wise details of works completed and expenditure incurred on completed works under Mahatma Gandhi NREGS in current financial year 2021-22 (as on 24.03.2022) is given at Annexure-I.

(c) to (f) As per Schedule-I of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, construction of crematoria at the village or block level is permissible under Mahatma Gandhi NREGS. Construction of church is not permissible under the Scheme. State/UT-wise details of crematoria works completed under Mahatma Gandhi NREGS in financial 2021-22 (as on 24.03.2022) is given at Annexure-II.

As per the Schedule-I of the Act, providing all weather rural road connectivity to unconnected village and to connect identified rural production centers to the existing pucca road network and construction of pucca internal roads or streets including side drains and culverts within a village are permissible. State/UT-wise details of completed and ongoing works of rural connectivity under Mahatma Gandhi NREGS in current financial year 2021-22 (as on 24.03.2022) are given at Annexure-III.
