(a) the present status of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh;
(b) the number of beneficiaries who have been identified and allotted houses in the said district;
(c) the number of persons who are yet to be allotted houses under PMAY; and
(d) the time by which the allotment/target is likely to be done/achieved?

(a) to (d): Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) is implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) since 2015 to provide all weather pucca houses with all basic amenities for all eligible families/ beneficiaries. The scheme is implemented through four verticals i.e. Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), In-Situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR) and Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS). The selection/ identification of beneficiaries under AHP/ ISSR/ BLC components is done by the State/ Union Territory (UT) Governments through their Implementing Agencies/ Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and selection under CLSS is done by the Central Nodal Agencies (CNAs)/ Banks/ Housing Finance Companies.
Under PMAY-U, based on the project proposals submitted by State Government of Uttar Pradesh, so far 28,084 houses have been sanctioned in Jaunpur district, out of which 25,461 are grounded, of which 18,733 are completed/ delivered to the beneficiaries. Government of Uttar Pradesh has been advised to expedite the construction of remaining sanctioned houses so that these houses are completed within the stipulated timeline. No fresh demand is pending with the Ministry for further sanction.
