Question : GRIEVANCE CELLS IN DELHI POLICE



(a) whether public grievance cells/commissions have been set up in the districts and units of Delhi Police;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the functions of the said cells/commissions; and

(c) the total number of complaints filed in the said cells along with the number of police officers/personnel against whom action has been taken on the basis of these complaints during each of the last two years and the current year?

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS(SHRI MULLAPPALLY RAMACHANDRAN)

(a) & (b): A public grievances cell has been set-up in each District of Delhi Police as well as in some of the Units which have public dealings and police stations functioning under them. The Cell is headed by an officer of ACP rank of the concerned district/unit. A Standing Order No. 102/2009 has been issued by Delhi Police regarding the functioning of the Cell.

(c): The total number of complaints filed in the said cells along with the number of police officers/personnel against whom action has been taken on the basis of these complaints during each of the last two years and the current year is Annexed.
