Question : CGHS Dispensaries

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) the details of posts of doctors and paramedical staff lying vacant in CGHS, State-wise;

(b) details of complaints received against doctors of CGHSD and action taken thereon during the last three years, State/ UT-wise;

(c) the details of CGHS dispensaries lying non-functional, State/UT-wise including Delhi;

(d) whether the Government has prepared the panel of Doctors/staff for the newly constructed dispensaries and if so, the details thereof; and

(e) whether the Government has received any proposal to cover Varanasi under CGHS and if so, the Government’s reaction thereto?

(a): The details of posts of doctors and paramedical staff lying vacant in CGHS are at Annexure-I and Annexure-II respectively.

(b): The details of complaints received against doctors of CGHS Dispensary and action taken thereon during the last three years is at Annexure-III.

(c): Delhi –
East Patel Nagar and Daryaganj are merged with nearby CGHS Wellness Centre temporarily.
Kidwai Nagar and Nouroji Nagar - Temporary non-functional due to redevelopment of the areas.

Jammu –
One postal dispensary taken over by CGHS – shall be started after relocation of premises.
(d): No separate panels are prepared. Doctors and Staff are posted as per requirement from existing resources.

(e): Yes; the Government has decided to open a new CGHS Wellness Centre in Varanasi.
