(a) whether steel production is more than the domestic requirement in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof during the last three years;
(c) whether the steel plants have achieved significant increase in the production of steel and its sale during the last two years;
(d) if so, the increase in production and sale achieved during the last two years;
(e) whether steel has been exported to various countries during the said period; and
(f) if so, the details thereof?

(a)&(b): The domestic requirement for finished (carbon) steel is reflected in the figures of apparent consumption. The production of steel in the country has always been more than the domestic demand. The production and apparent consumption of finished (carbon) steel in the country during the last three financial years and the current year is given below:-
