(a) & (b): The Government has no such reports. However, the Government has taken certain steps
to prevent cross border trafficking. A Regional Task Force has been set up for implementation of
the South Asia Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Convention on Preventing and Combating
Trafficking in Women and Children for Prostitution and a draft Standard Operation Procedures(SOP)
has been circulated among Member States which covers the aspect of cross border trafficking.
Further, the Government of India has nominated a Nodal Officer for coordinating with the Nodal
Officer of Bangladesh in matters relating to cross border trafficking.
