(a) the details of Ponds, Lakes and Wells cleaned so far in Jhansi and Lalitpur;
(b) the steps taken to improve underground water and also the details of Ponds, Lakes and Wells in Jhansi and Lalitpur; and
(c) the steps taken by local bodies to provide drinking water pipelines in Jhansi and Lalitpur?

(a) to (b) Works related to water resources development & management are planned, funded, executed and maintained by the State Governments themselves as per their own resources and priorities. In order to supplement the efforts of the State Governments, Government of India provides technical and financial assistance to State Governments to encourage sustainable development and efficient management of water resources through various schemes and programmes.
The details of Renovation of traditional water bodies works and Water conservation & water harvesting structures completed in the district of Jhansi and Lalitpur during last five years under MGNREGS are as under:

Further, cluster of 12 water bodies of Lalitpur and 8 water bodies (including 3 water bodies of Jhansi) have been included under RRR of Water Bodies scheme under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) for Central Assistance. Central Assistance (CA) of Rs.1.05 crore and Rs.15.36 crore released for these cluster of water bodies respectively.
(c) State Government has informed that 109 (Working-100; Partially working-4; Closed-5) and 58 (Working-48; Not working-10) piped drinking water schemes are being operated in the district of Jhansi and Lalitpur respectively.
Further, 3 water supply schemes of Lalitpur are being provided Central Assistance under National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) of Government of India. CA of Rs.37.34 crore has been provided for these schemes so far.
