(a) and (b): Yes, Sir. The Government is implementing Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS), under which financial assistance is provided to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) for promoting the welfare of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in the country, including in the States of Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. A statement indicating State/UTs-wise funds allocated and projects sanctioned under DDRS during the last three years, including the State of Uttar Pradesh is at Annexure-I. The details of funds allocated and projects sanctioned in Uttar Pradesh, district wise is at Annexure-II.
(c): Under the DDRS scheme, funds are released on the basis of total number of eligible beneficiaries for every Project run by NGOs. As such, data of the total numbers of beneficiaries is maintained, instead of gender-based segregated data. A statement indicating State/UT-wise number of beneficiaries under DDRS during the last three years including women beneficiaries is at Annexure-III.
(d): The steps taken by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) for increasing the accessibility and outreach of the scheme include, making the details of the scheme available on the website of Department i.e. www.disabilityaffairs.gov.in, the DDRS scheme is run through an on-line portal E-Anudaan portal for greater transparency and convenience raising; creating awareness about the scheme through social media outreach, conducting conferences, seminars and training sessions in which representatives of NGOs, State Government Officials and District Social Welfare Officers are sensitized about the provisions of the scheme, and conducting impact evaluation studies of the scheme periodically through independent evaluation agencies.
