(a) whether the Government is in agreement with the conclusion arrived at by the Mukherji Enquiry Commission;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has any plan to bring back the ashes of Netaji Subhash
Chandra Bose the from Renkoj Temple in Japan and do the immersion; and
(d) if so, the action taken/proposed to be taken in this regard?

(a) & (b) Government does not agree with the following findings of the Justice Mukherjee Commission
of Inquiry (JMCI) that
(i) Netaji did not die in the plane crash and
(ii) the ashes in the Renkoji
Temple were not of Netaji. The report of JMCI along with the Action Taken Report containing views
of Government was placed before both Houses of Parliament on 17th May 2006.
(c) & (d) It is not planned to bring back to India the ashes of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose from
the Renkoji Temple in Japan.
