(a) whether the Railways had called a meeting of its all zonal General Managers to chalk out an action plan on maintaining cleanliness at stations;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Railways have also been directed to constitute a Special Task Force to ensure removal of encroachments from its properties and construct biodiversity parks, plant trees and beautify the areas; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) Yes, Madam. As per directions of Hon’ble National Green Tribunal, a meeting through video conference with General Managers of Zonal Railways was held on 27.11.2018 for finalisation of Action Plan for effective implementation and monitoring mechanism with respect to Solid Waste Management, Littering of Solid and Plastic Waste, Defecation of Railway Tracks and Removal of encroachments etc.
