Question : NATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL



(a) the details of the budgetary allocations made for the National Advisory Council (NAC) during the last five years, year wise;

(b) the details of the decisions/proposals submitted by NAC to the Government;

(c) whether the Government has implemented the said decisions/proposals; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): Details of the budgetary allocation for the National Advisory Council (NAC) during last five years, year-wise are as follows:

(b) to (d): The NAC has been constituted to provide inputs in the formulation of policy by the Government and to provide support to the Government in its legislative business. Since its reconstitution, NAC has given 31 recommendations to the Government as per the details given in the Annexure. The recommendations of the NAC are under various stages of consideration/ implementation in various Ministries/ Departments.
