(a) whether some villages in tribal belt of Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been
left out from the purview of rural electrification;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government are thinking of inclusion of those villages in rural
electrification; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (d) : Out of 504 inhabited villages (1991 census) in the Union Territory of
Andaman & Nicobar Islands, 501 villages have been electrified and the balance 3 villages
have been declared as non-feasible for electrification.
