(a) whether the Government proposes to introduce new flights
to various destinations in both the domestic and
international sectors from Surat and Rajkot airports;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the details of suggestions received from various
organisations/corporate houses/business communities in this regard; and
(d) the action taken by the Union Government on these proposals?

(a) and (b):- No, Madam. Operations in domestic sector have
been deregulated and flights are being operated by concerned
airlines on the basis of commercial viability subject to
adherence of Route Dispersal Guidelines.
(c) and (d):- The details of the proposals received by the
Government in the last 4 years for increase in air services
from Surat and Rajkot are as under:
