Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI DIGVIJAY SINGH )

(a) No, Sir. There is no such post of Weight Inspector at Delhi Railway station.

(b) to (d): Does not arise.

(e) and (f): To give thrust to parcel traffic, it has been decided to lease out brake vans of all passenger carrying trains. Further to prevent empty running of brake vans where occupation is below 25% of space, Zonal Railways have been empowered to quote rates according market conditions. The lowering of rates has been permitted to attract traffic in such trains where brake vans are running empty and there is no loss involved.
