(a) whether the Government has decided to set up a first of its kind railway university in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the purpose and objectives of setting up of this university;
(d) whether the place/city has been identified and if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the time by which the proposed university would be functional?

(a)&(b): Yes, Madam. It has been decided to open the first ever National Rail and Transport Institute at Vadodara.
(c): To create a pool of talent for the Railways and transport Sector and to impart training to Railway Personnel.
(d): The Institute shall be established at the National Academy of Indian Railways in Vadodara.
(e): The date for setting up the Railway University at Vadodara is being worked out.
