Question : CONTINGENCY PLAN BY IAF

(a) whether Armed Forces, especially the IAF have chalked out various contingency plans in view of the prevailing global scenario after the terrorist strikes in the US and the consequent American retaliation against the Taliban regime in Afghanistan;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the precautionary measures being taken in this regard?

(a) to (c): The Air Defence plan of the Indian Air Force has been reviewed after terrorist attack in USA on 11th September, 2001. Its operational preparedness and security measures have been enhanced. However, the details can not be divulged, keeping in view the national security.
