Question : NH in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

(a) whether the Government has sanctioned Rs. 40,800 crore package for Construction of National Highways in Telangana for about 2556 kms, if so, the details thereof and progress made so far;

(b) whether the Government proposes to take up Bengaluru-Hyderabad corridor road project through Kurnool and also Hyderabad-Amaravati Expressways, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and

(c) the present status of each NH in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, NH-wise along with funds sanctioned/spent during last two years?

(a) & (b) “In-Principle” approval for declaration of 11 No. of new National Highways covering a length of 1458 km have been accorded in the State of Telangana subject to outcome of Detailed Project Report (DPR). State Govt. of Telangana has been requested to take up the work of preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR).
(c) Total 30 nos of projects amounting to Rs 9200 cr in Andhra Pradesh and 22 nos of projects amounting to Rs 4520 cr in Telangana are in various stage of progress.
