(a) to (f): The details of tests, cases, treated/recovered and deaths as reported by States/UTs as on 19th July 2022 are at Annexure I, II and III respectively.
As on 19th July 2022, a total of 200.34 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to beneficiaries above 12 years of age. State/UT wise details on vaccine doses administered in 12-18 years’ age group and vaccine doses administered in 18 years and above age group are Annexure IV and Annexure V respectively. COVID-19 vaccination below 12 years of age has not begun in National Covid Vaccination Programme.
Currently, five COVID-19 vaccines are being used under the vaccination program namely Covishield, Covovax, Covaxin, Sputnik V vaccine and Corbevax. Adequate COVID-19 vaccine doses have been made available to all States/UTs to vaccinate all eligible beneficiaries. As on 15th July 2022, India has supplied 23.9 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine to 101 countries and UN entities in the form of grant, commercial export or through COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX).
Given the emergence of variants of COVID-19 virus with variable transmissibility and other public health implications, Union Ministry of Health is following COVID-19 trajectory globally and in the country along with various Expert Committees. In addition, network of Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG) of laboratories is taking whole genome sequencing of samples for detection of mutant variants of the virus.
Union Ministry of Health provides requisite support to States/UTs to enhance preparedness and response capacities against COVID-19. Funding support has been provided to States/UTs for health system strengthening to meet any exigency due to resurgence of cases in the country through National Health Mission, State Disaster Response Funds (SDRF), Emergency COVID-19 Response and Preparedness packages and PM - Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
