(a) whether the Government has taken any measures to create basic sports infrastructure in Jharkhand;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the funds allocated, released and utilised by the Government for this purpose and the details of sports infrastructure created during the last three years?

(a) to (c) ‘Sports’ being a State subject the responsibility of creating sports infrastructure rests with the State / Union Territory (UT) Government. Central Government supplements efforts of the State / UT Governments for bridging gaps in sports infrastructure. This Ministry released Rs. 2.07 crore under Khelo India scheme to Sports Authority of India (SAI) during last three years for up-gradation of Hockey and Football Ground at SAI Training Centre, Hazaribagh in the State of Jharkhand and the entire amount has been utilized.
