(a) the procedure/criteria adopted by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation for allotment of Pantry Car, Catering Contracts as well as food plaza at Railway Stations ;
(b) the details of earning of pantry car, catering contracts as well food plaza during the last three years ; and
(c) the details of contractors who were allotted the above mentioned contracts?

(a) As per extant Catering Policy guidelines, issued by the Ministry of Railways, licences of pantry cars and food Plazas and other major contracts are awarded by Indian railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC) under two packet tendering system inviting pre-qualified eligible parties through press notification. Packet ‘A’ consists of the technical criteria and Packet ‘B’ consists of the financial bid. The financial bids are opened for those bidders who qualify in technical criteria (Packet –A). The highest financial bidder is awarded the licence of the unit. In case of small static units, the applications are screened with reference to eligibility conditions and the licence is awarded after competitive tenders amongst qualified applicants.
(b) The details of earnings of pantry car, catering contracts as well food plaza is enclosed as Appendix - A.
(c) The details of contractors who were allotted the above mentioned contracts is enclosed as Appendix – B
