(a) the financial assistance provided to yoga institutions in
various States, particularly in Andhra Pradesh during the last
three years;
(b) whether the Government have received any complaints of
irregularities and Maladministration by Yoga Institutes in the
State;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the action taken/proposed to be taken to strengthen the
monitoring mechanism on proper utilisation of funds by these
institutions?

(a): Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of
Secondary Education & Higher Education) implements a Centrally
Sponsored Scheme for Introduction of Yoga in Schools in India only.
Under this Scheme, non-profit making Yoga institutions of repute,
registered societies and trusts, which have been in existence for
three years or more, are ordinarily considered for financial
assistance for training teachers in Yoga and building up
infrastructure necessary for the purpose. In the absence of any
proposal from Andhra Pradesh, no financial assistance, under this
Scheme, has been provided to any institutes from Andhra Pradesh
during the last three years. However, a statement indicating the
financial assistance provided by this Ministry to Yoga institutions
under the scheme during the last three years is annexed.
