(c) If so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

Answer given by the minister

THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS

(SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI)

(a) (b) & (c) Yes, Sir. The widening of existing NH from Km 97 to Km 104.200 (Madanpur More) and from Km 104.200 (Madanpur More) to Km 110 (U.P. Border) were sanctioned in 2 packages. However, bituminous renewal work over existing surface has been done from Km 97 to Km 104.200, while bituminous renewal work from Km 104.200 (Madanpur More) to Km 110 (U.P. Border) could not be done as Forest Department did not allow work in Valmiki wildlife sanctuary & Tiger Reserve.

This Ministry has taken up DPR work for developing an alternative alignment of above said stretch.
