(a) whether the Government proposes to set up a regulatory authority for Indian Pharmaceutical Companies to carry out reforms in financial support to research in new drugs, import, maintenance and use of animals for clinicals trials, faster approval of clinical trials and scrutiny of data collected from, experiments; and
(b) if so, the details thereof?

(a) and (b): The Office of Drugs Controller General (India) has no such
proposal for setting up a regulatory authority for Indian Pharmaceutical
Companies to carry out reforms in financial support to research in new drugs,
import, maintenance and use of animals for clinical trials, faster approval of
clinical trials and scrutiny of data collected from experiments.
