Question : JNNURM

Will the Minister of URBAN DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state :
(a) The details of projects on which works are still being conducted under erstwhile Urban Infrastructure Governance (UIG) and Urban Infrastructure Development Schemes for Small and Medium Town (UIDSSMT) the two components of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), project, city and State-wise;

(b) The details of requests for financial assistance for these projects received by the Government from various States during the last three years and the current year so far, project, city and State-wise;


(c) The details of requests cleared and the funds sanctioned during the above period, project, city and State-wise;

(d) The details of requests for financial assistance still pending and the reasons for such pendency along with the time by which pendency requests are likely to be cleared; and


(e) The time by which all the projects under erstwhile UIG and UIDSSMT are likely to be completed?

(a) The details of 398 projects which are eligible for continued support under AMRUT till 31.03.2017 under UIG and UIDSSMT components of JnNURM are enclosed at Annexure-I. All other works have been transferred to State/UT Governments to complete out of their own resources.

(b) & (c) – The details of UIG and UIDSSMT projects received for financial assistance, cleared and sanctioned in the Ministry under the JnNURM during the last three years and the current year, project, city and state-wise are enclosed at Annexure-II.


(d) & (e) The requests for financial assistance received in the form of complete Utilization Certificates (UCs) along with all the required documents from the States/UTs, are being processed for release of funds as per mission guidelines. This is a continuous process. There are 32 numbers of proposals for releases which are under process in the Ministry as on date 04.02.2017 and the list of such proposals is at Annexure-III. A final decision regarding the release of these claims will be taken before 31.03.2017.
