(a) whether the Director, Information and Relations of Himachal Pradesh has sent any proposal to the Ministry for clearance of the welfare programme under the title `Introduction of Information Technology for Public awareness in Himachal Pradesh`; and
(b) if so, the current status of the said proposal?

(a) and (b): Yes, Sir. The Department of Information Technology
received a proposal from Government of Himachal Pradesh for
`Introduction of Information Technology for Public Awareness in
Himachal Pradesh` seeking recommendations for financial assistance
under Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) programme
through the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance,
Government of India.
Department of Information Technology has given its
recommendations on the above proposal to the Ministry of I&B and
Government of Himachal Pradesh for taking necessary action.
