Question : Petrol Pumps Operating on Rent

(a) the total number of petrol pumps of Hindustan Petroleum, Indian Oil and Bharat
Petroleum currently in operation in Chhattisgarh;
(b) the number of petrol pumps operating on rental land along with the number of petrol
pumps which are being operated on the land of the dealers themselves;
(c) the number of petrol pumps being operated on the rental land having valid rentagreement;
(d) the number of petrol pumps still operational even after the lapse of their rental
agreement of the leased land;
(e) the names of the companies which are running illegal petrol pumps; and
(f) the number of the said petrol pumps in Chhattisgarh which are being operated as per
provision of Rule 152(1) of Petroleum Act 2002 of Section 118(1) (1) of 31.12.2008 of
Government of India‘s Gazette No.686 (Extraordinary Part II - Clause 3 - Sub-clause I)?

(a) to (d) As on 30.6.2021, Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) viz. Indian
Oil Corporation Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan
Petroleum Corporation Limited have 1776 operational petrol pumps in Chhattisgarh out
of which 695 are operational on sites taken on lease from the landlords and 1056 are on
dealers owned sites. Further, there are 25 sites where the lease period has expired and
670 retail outlets are operating on the rental land having valid rent-agreement.
(e)&(f) Public Sector OMCs have informed that all petrol pumps in the State of
Chhattisgarh are operating with the required statutory approval/licences.
