Question : Homoeopathy Pharmacovigilance Centres

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government proposes to set up Homoeopathy Pharmacovigilance Centres in the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise; and

(c) the time by which Homoeopathy Pharmacovigilance Centres are likely to be set up in the country?

(a) to ( c): Ministry of AYUSH has implemented Central Sector Scheme of Pharmacovigilance initiative for Ayurveda, Siddha Unani and Homeopathy drugs since December, 2017. Under this scheme, in order to develop the network for reporting of homoeopathy drugs-related adverse events and monitoring of misleading advertisements, intermediary pharmacovigilance centre for Homoeopathy drugs has been established in National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), Kolkata (West Bengal). Following are the State/UT-wise details of eleven Peripheral Homoeopathic Pharmacovigilance Centres (PPvCs) set up under the scheme-
1. Andhra Pradesh: Regional Research Institute of Homoeopathy, Dr. GGH Medical College Campus, Gudivada.
2. Assam: Regional Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Guwahati,
3. Karnataka: Father Muller Homoeopathy Medical College & Hospital, Mangaluru
4. Kerala: National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health - NHRIMH, Kottayam,
5. Madhya Pradesh: Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Bhopal.
6. Maharashtra: Regional Research Institute for homoeopathy, Navi Mumbai.
7. Odisha: Dr. Abhin Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
8. Tamilnadu: Sarada Krishna Homoeopathic Medical College, Kanyakumari
9. Uttar Pradesh: Dr. D.P. Rastogi Central Research Institute for Homeopathy, Noida
10. West Bengal: Mahesh Bhattacharya Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Howrah.
11. West Bengal: Dr. Anjali Chatterjee Regional Research Institute For Homoeopathy, Kolkata.
