(a) whether smuggling of foodgrains have been reported on the Indo-Nepal Border;
(b) if so, the details of cases reported during the last three years and the current year; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government to check such illegal activities on the said border?

(a) to (c): The India-Nepal border is open and porous in nature. Incidences of
trans-border criminal activities are some time reported including smuggling of food
grains. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been deployed on Indo-Nepal border as Border
Guarding Force.
As per the information available data on smuggling of food grains during the
last three years and the current year, are as follows:
